A free ATS-friendly Sinhala CV template

Sri Lankan job applications increasingly run through applicant tracking systems (ATS) — Workable, Greenhouse, Zoho Recruit, the LinkedIn Easy Apply pipeline — that parse a CV's text before a human ever reads it. This template uses a single-column layout with standard section headings, which is exactly what ATS parsers expect. Decorative two-column layouts may look pretty but they confuse the parsers and your CV gets filtered out.

Section headings are bilingual (English + Sinhala) so the same CV reads naturally to both expat employers reviewing English copy and local hiring managers comfortable in Sinhala.

Frequently asked questions

Should I use a photo on my Sri Lankan CV?
Photos are common on Sri Lankan CVs but optional. International employers (and most modern Sri Lankan multinationals) prefer no photo — it speeds anonymized review. If you do add one, the inline image tool keeps it on-page during export.
How long should a CV be in Sri Lanka?
One page for early career (under 5 years), two pages for mid-career. The template fits a single page when you edit succinctly; add a second page by hitting Enter at the end and continuing — the editor will guide you with a page break indicator.
Will the .docx export work with Microsoft Word?
Yes. The Download as .docx option produces a Word-compatible file that opens cleanly in Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages, and LibreOffice. Sinhala glyphs survive the round-trip on any modern Word version.
